Youth Skills Training Programs

A Holistic Strategy for Empowering Youth in Sierra Leone’s Learning Environment

This initiative focuses on offering educational, technical, and vocational opportunities to specific youth groups. Its goal is to empower disadvantaged young individuals as they strive for higher education and skills development.

Primary Objective

The main goal of these programs extends beyond simply offering financial support; it aims to usher in a transformative era of empowerment. AGDA envisions a Sierra Leone where young people, regardless of their backgrounds, have the chance to reach their full potential through organized education and skills training. The Youth Skills Training Programs serve as a catalyst, dismantling barriers that obstruct the pursuit of knowledge, skills, self-improvement, and, ultimately, a brighter future.

Criteria for Support

Our Youth Skills Training Programs is deeply rooted in our commitment to the vision to support transformation and development. Our simple criteria is the evidential desire to improve, as a young person. This will be established through support from our coordinators. AGDA is working with these youths to find meaning purpose to their existence and help them find hope in the future through the skills they will acquire through these programs.

Annual Impact

Each year, AGDA makes significant strides toward a brighter future for Sierra Leone, typically where we operate. Through the Youth Skills Training Programs, we aim to award support to a minimum of ten youths per district annually, that is a minimum of one hundred and eighty youths in total per year. With new intake and existing youths successfully completing the programs every year, we aim to maintain this numbers. These programs are to not be merely another addition to the multiple existing NGO projects; they are to symbolize rekindled dreams and aspirations.

Reaching Every Corner

AGDA’s commitment to reaching every corner of Sierra Leone is unwavering. The support are strategically distributed across all 16 districts, underscoring our dedication to uplifting communities across Sierra Leone.
